Christmas 2024 at Beritaz Care

Christmas 2024 at Beritaz Care

The festive season at Beritaz Care is always a special time, and this past year was no different. Throughout December, our residents and staff participated in a host of Christmas fun, themed activities and festive parties.

At the start of December, residents and staff were excited to start decorating the homes and putting up the Christmas trees to get the homes ready for the festive season. Everyone was happy to get involved, some of the residents even made their own hand-crafted decorations to display around the home in our arts and crafts sessions.

In the run-up to the festive season, the regular activities schedules in our homes took on a Christmas twist. Residents took part in Christmas sing-alongs, festive-themed games and even tried their hand at baking some Christmas treats. The fantastic performers that regularly visit our homes to entertain the residents also put a festive spin on their musical arrangements, performing lots of well-loved Christmas songs that our residents enjoyed singing and dancing along to.

We put on carol concerts within the homes and welcomed theatre companies for Christmas pantomime productions, the residents were thrilled to get involved with the audience participation … “he’s behind you!”. Even our animal therapy sessions started to feel very festive, with the animals getting dressed up ready for Christmas. Some residents even enjoyed a visit from Father Christmas himself, they must have been on the nice list!

Our residents also had a chance to get involved in local community activities, the residents of Chestnut Court visited Ballard School for their annual Christmas carol concert, while several of the homes arranged minibus trips for a festive evening at a local pub or café, and to explore the Christmas lights illuminating the local area.

It was wonderful to welcome relatives, friends and members of the local community to join us for the various Christmas parties and festive events we hosted at our homes throughout December. With great food prepared by our kitchen teams, musical entertainment and lots of cheer, these events were the perfect way to celebrate Christmas with everyone together.

Christmas day at our homes was filled with festive fun and joy. We opened presents, enjoyed a delicious Christmas lunch and took part in our own festive traditions. Thank you to everyone who joined us for Christmas and throughout the festive season, and to our fantastic teams of staff in our homes for making this Christmas a magical one for each and every resident.
