We are often overwhelmed by the kindness and generosity of our team members, not only in their treatment of our residents at the home, but also in their willingness to help those in need.
Robertson Nursing Home’s wonderful team member Deepika decided to have a ‘Big Cut’ and donate her hair to the Little Princess Trust.
This fantastic organisation provides free real hair wigs to children and young people who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or other conditions. Deepika will be helping to provide hair and hope to young people with cancer, and we couldn’t be prouder of her.
Deepika had her hair cut at Robertson Nursing Home by our wonderful hairdresser, Karen, while surrounded by her colleagues who turned up to cheer her on. Deepika’s long locks will make a fantastic donation and hopefully be put to good use to make a lovely wig for a young person in need. Deepika was thrilled with her donation and her new look, she had a huge smile on her face throughout, knowing she was doing something that would make a huge impact in a young person’s life.

In addition to donating her hair, Deepika has raised over £600 which will be donated to The Little Princess Trust to help fund more real hair wigs for young people and their groundbreaking childhood cancer research projects.
Thank you to our lovely hairdresser Karen for giving Deepika her haircut, as well as everyone who donated in support of Deepika and to help raise funds for The Little Princess Trust.
