Afternoon Tea Week 2024

Published on 17th August 2024

Will you be enjoying a cuppa this Afternoon Tea Week, because we certainly will be at Beritaz Care! There’s nothing we love more than hosting an afternoon tea at our homes. Whether that’s simply to brighten up a weekday afternoon for our residents or bringing friends and family together for a proper celebration, we love to bring out the nice tea set and bake some delicious treats.

As well as enjoying some tasty refreshments, sitting down for an afternoon tea is the perfect opportunity for residents to socialise and enjoy a chat with each other or our staff. We love to get everyone together to socialise and often welcome visitors to take part in these events as well.

In this glorious weather we have been enjoying many of our afternoon teas outside this summer, in the beautiful gardens at our homes. A summer afternoon tea in our outside seating areas with the addition of strawberries and cream or summer mocktails, is a great way to get some fresh air and sunshine. Sometimes we are even treated to a beautiful soundtrack by the talented musicians who visit our homes to play for the residents.

As a favourite British tradition of many of our residents, an afternoon tea can evoke fond memories of celebrations and special occasions throughout their lives. The residents love to share these memories while enjoying their tea together, telling stories of teas shared in fancy hotels or gathering with friends to celebrate a birthday. An afternoon tea has always been a fun and special way to bring people together, and we are proud to be able to continue that tradition for the residents of our homes.

Join us in celebrating Afternoon Tea Week, whether it’s for a special occasion, an event to raise money for charity, or just to brighten your afternoon … there’s always time for tea!
