Our annual summer party at Ashton Manor Nursing Home was a massive hit! It was lovely to see our residents having so much fun with their friends and loved ones.
The weather was on our side, so we were able to enjoy the festivities outside in the sunshine in the beautiful gardens of Ashton Manor. Everyone seemed to really enjoy the refreshments, decorations, games and, of course, the fantastic musical entertainment.
Thank you to our staff, residents, family members, friends of the home, volunteers and community members for making this event such a success. Thank you also to Mack Entertainment Ltd for their amazing ABBA tribute performance, it really made the event an extra special experience. It was wonderful to see so many people get into the spirit of the party, joining in with the singing and dancing. We had so much fun and made so many wonderful memories.
We had such a special day enjoying the summer celebration with our residents, and it meant so much to us to be joined by members of our local community for the celebration, who always show so much support and kindness to the home. We would like to say a special thank you to our local Church for lending us the tables and chairs from Leverton Hall so that all our guests had somewhere to sit during the party. Thank you also to Reverend Jacqueline for the support she has given us; we wish her all the best as she retires from the parish.
During all the fun and festivities at our annual summer party, our guests were generous enough to support our fundraising efforts. At the party, we held an art auction with some fantastic pieces painted and donated by our talented resident, Rob. The art auction alone generated £220, and the auction winners were very happy with their purchases. Thank you to Rob for donating his amazing artwork. Combined with the funds raised from our tombola and raffle, we were able to raise a fantastic total of £555 from this year’s event.
Thank you to everyone who came along to our summer party and helped to make it such a memorable event. We’re already looking forward to next year!
