The Surrey Care Awards are a great opportunity to celebrate the achievements of the wonderful individuals and organisations who work in the care sector in Surrey. There are some wonderful examples of care and compassion. We are always delighted to be involved with this event. At the gala awards ceremony, held at Epsom Downs on 17th November 2017, Beritaz Care was proud to have been named as finalists in two award categories.
Robertson Nursing Home in Godalming was a finalist in the Care Team of the Year Award. This recognised their collective commitment to delivering quality care to all the residents and going the extra mile. The local GP commented “there is a high level of care which is given by highly motivated and caring staff”, and a relative said “The care [my mother] received was first class. Staff at all levels treated her as they would their own family and my mother loved it there”.
Karen Goddard, Home Manager of Springkell House in Hindhead, was a finalist in the Manager of the Year category. She had been put forward by her team and the supporting testimonials came from her team, relatives and visiting professionals who all agreed that she was one in a million. “She brings a positive attitude every day as she enters the care setting”.
