Christmas 2025 at Beritaz Care

Published on 07th January 2026

Christmas 2025 at Beritaz Care was filled with festive fun, themed activities, and lots of Christmas cheer. The month of December was jam-packed with fantastic activities and events, thanks to our brilliant activities teams, to help our residents get into the festive spirit.

At the start of the month (or late in November for those who were too excited to wait), we began decorating our nursing and residential care homes ready for Christmas. Residents in the homes were keen to lend a hand and get involved in putting up the Christmas trees and hanging decorations around the home. They also added their own special touches to the festive décor in the form of handmade decorations created during arts and crafts sessions at the homes. Residents of Ashton Manor handcrafted their own Christmas wreaths to display around the home during a wreath-making workshop with the wonderful volunteers from St Peter’s Church.

Throughout December, the residents of our homes were treated to some brilliant Christmas-themed entertainment courtesy of local entertainers and theatre companies. From favourite Christmas pop songs to nostalgic carols, and a variety of instruments played by talented musicians, there was something for every musical taste. We are grateful to the wonderful musicians who visit our homes, who made the festive season extra magical with the Christmas sparkle they added to their performances. This was exactly what we needed to keep the Christmas spirit alive throughout the month.

A particular favourite source of entertainment during the festive season was the pantomime performances put on at our homes. The performers were fantastic, and our residents loved joining in with the audience participation, booing, cheering, and singing along. Enjoying a classic story with a Christmas twist was exactly the type of entertainment our residents wanted this festive season.

Our staff members also had a busy festive season, spreading the Christmas joy in the homes by participating in Christmas jumper day, joining in with festive activities, and accompanying our residents to various community events. Amidst all their hard work ensuring our residents had the best Christmas, our teams also took some time for their own celebrations. Staff from Dorset and Surrey dressed up for an evening of food, dancing, and fun at our annual staff Christmas parties, celebrating the festive season and a successful 2025, as a team.

Back at the homes, our pre-Christmas festivities continued with various social events for residents. Windsor Court hosted their annual mulled wine and mince pies evening, welcoming residents’ family and friends for a festive gathering with musical entertainment and delicious refreshments. Our homes hosted resident Christmas parties in December, encouraging everyone to come together for a fun social event where they could celebrate the festive season with their friends at the home.

Christmas Day at Beritaz Care is always very special. Residents enjoyed opening their Christmas presents and ate a delicious Christmas lunch made by the wonderful kitchen teams at our homes, before taking part in some of their favourite Christmas Day traditions. We were thrilled to welcome friends and family members to our homes on Christmas Day and throughout the festive season. Thank you to everyone who visited for helping to make Christmas so special for our residents.

Everyone celebrates Christmas differently, and we are careful to make sure our residents can enjoy the festive season how they wish. Whether they want to join in with festive group activities, enjoy trips out with their loved ones, or make time for their personal traditions independently, with the support of our staff, we always do everything we can to make sure every resident has the kind of Christmas that is right for them. We hope you all enjoyed Christmas 2025 as much as we did at Beritaz Care.
