Good Care Month 2024

Published on 11th July 2024

All throughout July we are celebrating Good Care Month at Beritaz Care. This month is all about celebrating the wonderful people and organisations that make up the UK care industry. This is the perfect opportunity to say thank you for all the hard work put in by every member of the care industry, from nurses and care staff, to cooks, cleaners and clerical staff.

Providing ‘Good Care’ is our biggest goal at Beritaz Care. We follow an ethos of person-centred care across all our homes, which means understanding the needs of the individual and offering compassionate support in a way that still encourages independence as much as possible. The staff across our homes are committed to ensuring our residents are happy, healthy, comfortable and feel at home. It is because of each team member within our homes working together every day, that Beritaz Care is able to provide quality care to the residents in our homes.

Our staff understand that we need to prioritise not only our residents’ physical health but also their mental and emotional wellbeing, all these factors play a part in our holistic approach to care. We are incredibly grateful to our team for the extra effort they put in to ensure our residents’ happiness. Whether that be the kitchen team preparing a special cake for a resident’s birthday, admin staff making the time for a cup of tea and a chat with a resident, activities staff helping a resident to enjoy a beloved hobby, or our care staff taking extra time to check on a resident when they are having a bad day.

Something that we have found to be so important for our residents is having dedicated one-on-one time with staff members. This not only helps our residents and staff to get to know each other and form close bonds, but also gives the residents an opportunity to share anything that might be on their mind. Making sure our residents are given this time to talk and knowing their voices are heard is incredibly important to every member of the Beritaz Care team.

Keep a look out on our social accounts over the next few weeks where we will be sharing the stories of some of our residents and staff, so you can find out a bit more about life at Beritaz Care. We are incredibly thankful for each and every person that makes up the Beritaz Care family and the commitment they show to providing ‘Good Care’.
