At Beritaz Care, we are always looking for new ways to improve our homes, enhance our care, and generally make life better for our residents and staff… and 2025 was no different. Over the past year, we have introduced new initiatives, invested in technology, expanded our homes, and most importantly, listened to the feedback from our residents and their families.
Technology is making big changes in the care industry, and we have been exploring the ways we can use technology to support the care services within our homes. Following the successful introduction of the Immedicare telemedicine service in 2024, the team at Windsor Court were happy to trial other care-related tools. In 2025, an AI monitoring tool was rolled out at Windsor Court; this system is designed to provide early alerts for resident health issues or anomalies. The response from the team has been very positive. Thanks to the AI monitors, they have been able to pick up on issues quicker and have seen a reduction in resident falls.
Towards the end of 2025, a new digital care management system was implemented across our homes and Business Support Centre. Care Vision was introduced to help us better manage digital resident records and offers additional features to help improve our internal processes. Teams across Beritaz Care have been taking part in extensive training on the new system and familiarising themselves with its features. We are very excited by the new system’s capabilities and how it can help us to further enhance resident care, we will continue to explore its applications in 2026.
2025 also saw the launch of the new and improved Beritaz Care website, designed to make it easier for you to find all the information you need to know about our homes and care services. On the Beritaz Care website, you can explore our homes, find out more about the history of Beritaz Care, and stay up to date with all the latest activities and news happening across the Beritaz Care group.
It is not just technological innovations that have been taking place over the last year, we have also seen some physical changes to our homes. Throughout 2025, all homes have taken steps to improve the environment for residents. From practical changes like replacing windows, renovating kitchens, and upgrading fire doors, to makeovers of communal areas and decorating residents’ rooms, all these changes are designed to ensure our residents feel happy, comfortable, and at home.
After the completion of the first of the new second-floor rooms at Windsor Court towards the end of 2024, we continued work to make more rooms available to welcome new residents in 2025. These bright, warm, and welcoming rooms have enabled even more individuals to become a part of the Windsor Court community.
One of the most exciting adventures we embarked on in 2025 was the Robertson development project, creating a new and improved home for current and future residents. These plans have been a long time in the works and will enable us to provide an even better experience and enhanced facilities for residents at the home.
Before work began, we hosted a meeting at the home with residents and relatives to explain our vision for the future of the home. Everyone was very excited to find out more about our plans and get a glimpse at the new Robertson. We kicked off the project in September with a religious ceremony to bless the build and bring good fortune to the home. Since then, construction has been progressing well, and we have shared regular updates from our project contractors, MP Brothers. We look forward to sharing more updates with you over the coming months.
Throughout the year, we have spoken to residents, relatives, and staff to gather their feedback on our homes and to share their thoughts on how we can improve. The feedback we receive from our regular surveys helps us to identify areas of importance, and as a result, we have continued to make changes within our homes that improve the quality of life of our residents.
