This year has brought some exciting changes to Springkell House Care Home, especially with the appointment of Jogi as our new Home Manager. With a true passion for helping others and a wealth of experience gained over more than 20 years at Springkell House, Jogi is eager to make a difference in the lives of our residents.
Jogi began his professional catering career as an army chef, developing his culinary expertise in restaurants before taking the leap into the care industry when he joined Springkell House. Jogi oversaw kitchen and domestic operations in his role of Head Chef and Facilities Supervisor, and in August 2025, successfully completed the registration process to become the registered manager of Springkell House.
We wanted to give you the opportunity to get to know Jogi a bit better, learn about his journey so far in the role of Home Manager, and what he has discovered about himself since embarking on this new adventure.

"How much I still have to learn. After many years working in the home, I felt confident in what I knew about the home and this industry. But as I have had the opportunity to learn new things as Home Manager, I realise how much I don’t know. It has been enlightening and exciting to learn new things about the industry I have worked in for so long."
What has been a highlight of your time as Home Manager so far?
"Our first CQC inspection since I took on this role was nerve-wracking but overall, very positive. It was good to see the team shine in this environment and hear the positive feedback from the inspector. I am looking forward to reading the full report and am confident that we performed well."
