Star of the Week at Springkell House

At Springkell House, we are always looking for ways to show our appreciation for the hard work of our team members and the dedication they display every single day, to create a happy and comfortable home for our residents. 
 
We particularly want to shine a spotlight on those team members who go above and beyond in their roles, helping out their team members, coming up with creative suggestions, going the extra mile and simply excelling in their daily tasks. In order to help us show our appreciation, we have recently introduced a ‘star of the week’ initiative for our team at the home. This initiative aims to recognise those team members who have been a true ‘star’ at the home during that week. 
 
Some of our recent stars include Ashmita, for putting in extra work to deliver a great activity for the residents. New and creative activities are incredibly important to help our residents feel engaged, give them the opportunity to socialise and provide some extra fun to their daily routine. 
 
Marta was also named ‘star of the week’ for her creativity in baking fantastic birthday cakes for residents’ birthday celebrations. We like to make our residents feel special on their birthdays and help them celebrate with their friends at the home. Having their own beautiful, freshly baked birthday cake in their favourite flavour is something our residents love.  
 
We also recognised Surya for going the extra mile in resident care, doing everything she could to help a resident solve a problem that was causing them distress. Surya diligently searched for a resident’s missing glasses, which had been misplaced. After a long search, she found them in the pocket of the resident’s coat within their wardrobe. 
 
These are just a few recent examples that show how much our team members care about the happiness and wellbeing of our residents, and we think they have all earned the title of ‘star of the week’.
