I have been working in the care sector industry for over a decade and have spent that time supporting vulnerable people to live happily and comfortably. I enjoy knowing I am making a positive difference in people’s lives as a carer. 
 
I joined the team at Robertson Nursing Home in 2020, having previously worked in a care team at a nursing home in Surrey. In my role as a Care Assistant, I am responsible for supporting our residents with their physical, emotional, and social needs. I support residents with their key needs in every area, from mealtimes to mobility assistance. 

My favourite and proudest moment at Robertson was when our team was selected as the ‘Team of the Year’

As a team, we focus on providing person-centred care. We build and maintain strong relationships with the residents; they trust us and appreciate the care we provide. My colleagues are all very committed to their roles and deeply involved with the home. We all work together to complete tasks on time and to a high standard. I enjoy being a part of this team and working with my colleagues every day.

Working at Robertson Nursing Home has given me the opportunity to pass my NVQ Level 2. I have had the chance to develop in my role, having been provided with the training required to do my job well. I am aware of the necessity and importance of these training and learning opportunities. 
 
My favourite and proudest moment at Robertson was when our team was selected as the ‘Team of the Year’ at the Surrey Care Awards in 2024. I am happy to be a part of the Robertson Nursing Home team.
